Hello, my name is Bob Burrows and welcome to my site, Golf Tips For Beginners
As a golf enthusiast for many years now I know how frustrating this game can be, and why all too often beginners and the recreational golfer will quit the sport altogether, especially when they realize that “golf is so much more than just whacking a ball with-a-stick”.
I’ve learnt the game the hard way, from grass roots up, and believe me, there were times when I felt like throwing my clubs intro the nearest duck pond, as no matter how hard I tried I would always seem to make a mess of things by either hooking or slicing that little white ball.
I’m pleased to say I didn’t give up though. Don’t get me wrong it was tough at times, but I persevered, and through a lot of practice and some really great tips I learnt along the way, I finally started to see dramatic improvements all throughout my game.
If you’re interested in learning how to play golf, don’t let anybody put you off. It truly is a fantastic sport, and with free golf tips and shortcuts throughout my website I hope I can help you become a great golfer as quickly as possible.

If you have the time I highly recommend you take a look at my eBook at the bottom of the page, which provides a lot free golf tips for beginners, or any golfer for that matter who is looking to improve their overall game as quickly as possible.
What’s more, you will also receive my popular “Golfing Gazette” newsletter series where I reveal the best golf tips that I found over the years that gave me the quickest results and biggest improvements to my game, and all without the steep learning curve that golf is commonly associated with.
If you are just starting out, let me give you some good advice right from the start:
Golf Tips For Beginners – Bob’s Tip 1:
Steer clear of the golf course. This may sound a bit backward, but if you’re new to the game, the very best tip I can give you is to invest $40 in a 30 minute golf lesson, and let a professional golfer step you through the basics of how to address the golf ball, how to grip the golf club and how to swing correctly. This quick introduction can be of absolute gold and well worth the initial investment.
Listen very carefully to everything the golf pro tells you and then practice what you have learnt. NEVER head straight for the golf course without any form of tuition. If you do, you’ll be getting into bad habits right from the start, making it a lot harder later on down-the-line.
Golf Tips For Beginners – Bob’s Tip 2:
Invest in some decent golf clubs that are appropriate to your size. These needn’t be expensive as there are some great deals to be found on the Internet. What ever you do don’t be tempted to play with a set of golf club that have been handed-down to you by your late Grandpa Joe.
While they may have a certain amount of sentimental value, they’ll likely be of poor quality and trying to play with an old set of clubs that are too small for you will have an adverse affect on your golf game right from the start.
Remember, for more help and great advice on playing golf, no matter what level you’re at, make sure you download my free eBook below and receive part one of my popular free Golfing Gazette.
All the best
Regards
